Note on Paper Marbling
I am not a professional marbler, but I took a workshop with Don Guyot in 1983 because I needed some variety in the papers I was using for boxes. The course was fun and when I returned from a trip to Israel that summer, I set up a tank in the basement and set to work.

Everything went really well and I was able to marble enough papers over the next year to last me several years. I saved samples of many papers that can be seen here and there are some others on the Manchester University site for the Schmoller collection.

Since moving to Israel I have done very little marbling, although I am always intending to. I gave a workshop at the Uncle Bob Leslie Paper Mill in Beersheva when I was new in the country and I have given demonstrations at my studio for friends and crafts people.

The art committee at my synagogue, Kehilat Yedidia, has asked me to mount an exhibition of marbled papers that will take place soon after Passover 2009.
